International Women’s Day
For International Women’s Day, we want to celebrate the girls and women who have passed through our club as members and supporters. While we celebrate all of the women in our club today, we’re taking this opportunity to spotlight two particular ladies who have had a lasting impression:
Amy Randell – Youth Development Coordinator, player
Amy is going on four years of playing for our club, and has become an integral part of our club and the larger rugby community. As the Youth Development Coordinator, she is currently working hard to bring rugby to schools across Dartmouth and surrounding areas, coaching multiple teams, among countless other responsibilities she’s taken on. She’s also a star on the field, showing leadership and teamwork which earned her both the Coaches Award and MVP for the 2023 season. Amy exudes passion, integrity and respect and we are so proud to have her as part of our club.
Cassie Martell – Executive member, player
Cassie has been an active part of our club for over 10 years. As a player, she commands the field as our scrumhalf and provides support and leadership to her sisters on the field. While raising a family of her own, Cassie has worked hard behind the scenes as Women’s VP to advocate for our players and ensure the continued growth and sustainability of our senior women’s team. While retired as a player, she continues to be an active member of our club by dedicating time to enhancing our youth programming. Cassies dedication and heart is admirable and we are so lucky to have her as part of our family.
