The Coaches at PigDogs R.F.C. are World Rugby Certified with Clean Vulnerable sector checks and are fully trained in First Aid.
Practice Field:
All our training will take place at Ira Settle
This is located in Dartmouth at 8 Valleyford Avenue, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
East on Main St. (Hwy. 7) from Parclo, take left at first set of lights onto Major Street by the Petro-Canada Station and Smittys. Take the first right onto Lakecrest Dr., then the second left onto Raymond St. At the second stop sign, turn right onto Valleyford Ave. The field is on the right (across the street from Bridgeway Academy).
Gear Needed:
Players will be required to wear suitable sportswear while at sessions. it is suggested to wear cleats as the field can get slippery when wet. Mouthguard's are required for the youth and junior Program sessions.

Registration types
Program #1: Rookie Rugby (Minior Non-Contact Flag Rugby)
Ages 4 – 12 ( U6, U8, U12)
Price: $105.25
Program Description: Rookie Rugby introduces the game of rugby in a safe way for kids!
This program is non-contact (flag rugby) and allows players to learn the basics of the sport, while being active and having fun with their friends! (Players will be split into age-based divisions)
When: Wednesday 6pm - 7pm
Where: Ira Settle Park Sports Field
The program runs for a total of 10 sessions. As there will not be a session the week of Canada Day and Natal Day.
Jamboree Days TBD
Program #2: Minior Intro to Contact
Ages 10-12
Price: $131.06
Program Description: This program focuses on introducing contact with safety and proper technique as a priority. We will continue to develop and practice basic skills, while learning and focusing more on the rules of the game.
When: Tuesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Where: Ira Settle Park Sports Field
The program runs for a total of 10 sessions. As there will not be a session the week of Canada Day and Natal Day.

Program #3 : Junior intro to Contact
Ages 13-15
Price: $208.50

Program #4 : Junior Rugby
Ages: 15 and over (aimed at high school players)
Price for first time players: $135.01
Price for returning players: $244.64
Program Description: This is a full-contact program that takes all of the skills and techniques learned in previous programs and applies them into a competition setting against players at the same age.
When: Tuesday and Thursdays 6pm – 8pm

Youth Rugby Members registration
Every rugby player in Nova scotia needs to be registered electronically with Rugby Canada Sportlomo Online Registration System.
This can be done by visiting our Registration Portal.

Select the age category of player:
- 4 - 12 Rookie Rugby (Minor non-Contact)
- 12 - 14 Youth Rugby (Minor Intro to contact)
- 13 - 15 Junior Rugby (Junior intro to contact)
